meet kelcey

Kelcey Tupas was born in Chicago, raised in Arizona, and moved to Southern California in the summer of 2022. She is Filipina, Autistic/ADHD, and a member of the LGBTQA+ community. Her hobbies include anime, video games, and dance. She attended ASU for 3 years straight out of High School before dropping out and attending the Aesthetician program at Gateway Community College. Right after graduating she was hired and trained by Mckenze Trachuk, winner of Starpil’s Waxing With the Stars, and worked at The Wax Room for 1.5 years.

Kelcey’s identity is multi-faceted and she recognizes the individuality of each client that comes through her doors. Waxing will always involve some amount of pain, and the results are mostly the same; hair is removed from the root to achieve smooth skin. However, Kelcey excels at accommodating each client to make their waxing experience the most comfortable it can be. Though she is very efficient, she does not focus on speed; the comfort and safety of her clients comes first. The label Speed Waxer never felt right to her and she refers to herself as a Comfort-First Waxer.
